The first two weeks of this school year have been very eventful so far. I have gotten involved in many activities and my AP classes are going well. I have signed up for dual enrollment classes at Bishop State Community College for culinary arts, which I am very excited about. I am in the JROTC program and each day, improvement is made while the school year is just beginning. Most things I participate in are school related and everything so far is very easy to handle. I'm still waiting on the challenges that I will be faced with because I know that those challenges will prepare me for my future. My first two weeks of school as a junior have been very amazing so far.

Introduction

My name is Darien Bailey, and I am a fifteen year old junior at B.C. Rain High School. I enjoy reading, writing, and academic competition. A few extracurricular activities that I participate in are Cheerleading, Choir, and JROTC. Through these activities, I have learned discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and I have also gained a sense of leadership. This school year, I hope to accomplish much more in my classes than I did last year. Some of my goals are to maintain my GPA, place in the top ten of my class, and to be recognized by as many college universities as possible. Education is my main priority and I will try my best to balance classwork with extracurricular activities. I am feeling very optimistic about this school year and all that there is to come.
